The Feeling of Organization: Getting Started
Hey there Niche Friends, and welcome to 2021! You may be asking yourself “How can I make sure I actually do things in 2021 and now just eat chips in my underpants?” and Niche Friends, we are there with you. So, we’re going to get set up for success with Bullet Journaling!
Today we’re covering Five Tools to Set Up Your Bullet Journal and Five Ways to Make Your Bullet Journal Lit!
Without further ado, Let’s crack into it!!
5. The Index
Set yourself up for success by setting your journal up! This can be as simple or decorated as you want! This table of content should provide you a road map to your journal. Here are some suggested sections for the index:
The Key: this will be helpful for your tasks, rapid logging, to do list, etc. Basically, have a standardized key for indicating what stage you are in a task.
The Calendar: This will be an ongoing index for your entire year, so just start off with the first month and fill up as you go!
The Catalogues: If you have an ongoing section of catalogues for the year, start a list for this section. Hint: make sure you give yourself lots of pages so you can add/extend catalogues as you go!
Some Great catalogues could be:
About Me
Books you read
Recipes to try
Movies you saw
Saving Tracker '
One Month/Three Month/Six Month/One Year/Five Year Goals
Mental Health Tips

Want to keep track of your resolution to meditate? Have a list of “must-dos” every day? Using a habit tracker is a great way of holding yourself accountable for taking care of yourself! Make it extra fun by using lots of colours so you have a rainbow of good habits by the end of every week!

Is this the most helpful part of a bullet journal? We think so. Cait uses a great set up for her weekly spread that’s easy to replicate and fun to follow. You can combine grocery lists, meal plans, habit trackers, and to-do lists in a weekly spread that works for your life. There are tons of options, but the weekly spread is the workhorse of any good bullet journal!
